A polyurea-based coating is made up of two components that are an isocyanate compound and a resin blend. These coatings fully cure in a few hours to form an outstandingly tough, flexible and a chemical resistant surface. These coatings waterproof their substrate and also have the ability to extend by about 300 percent. Elastomeric polyureas are ideal for application on industrial work floors, hangars, parking decks, roofs and so on and are great for corrosion protection and abrasion resistance. Although a fairly new coating, the markets and applications are endless and rapidly on the rise.
Additional polyurea advantages and benefits include: Weather tolerant for curing, excellent resistance to thermal shock, flexible – elastomeric, waterproof, seamless, resistant to various solvents and have shown resilient excellent bond strengths to properly prepared substrates.
