North Central Insulation is an approved installer for International Cellulose, who manufacturers many of the below thermal and acoustic products. Contact us when you need cellulose spray-applied thermal insulation and acoustical and fireproofing finishes for your projects.
DC 315 Thermal Barrier
DC 315 is an interior ignition or thermal barrier coating for spray polyurethane foam insulation that will achieve a 15 minute thermal and ignition barrier. Depending on your particular application, an ignition or a thermal barrier are required by building code. DC 315 is water based latex system that dries quickly and reaches maximum properties in less than 14 days and is typically applied with a paint sprayer, brush or roller. DC 315 over polyurethane foam is used to prevent surface ignition due to a flame source. This product will inhibit or prevent the start and spread of flame encountered on the surface and is designed to be a long term protective barrier.
K-13 Acoustic Spray
K-13 insulation a spray-applied acoustic barrier tailored to your specific project requirements for insulation (R value), noise reduction (NRC), color, durability, condensation control, texture, and aesthetics. K13 spray insulation can be applied to virtually any properly prepared surface configuration of wood, steel, concrete, glass and other common construction surfaces and can be sprayed up to five inches thick overhead in one application without mechanical support. Additionally, it serves as the exposed finish requiring no additional materials. Available in six standard colors, this barrier can also be specified in specially matched custom colors.
Thermal Performance
K-13 insulates by creating dead air spaces between and within its hollow fibers forming a monolithic coating over the substrate which helps reduce air infiltration. Unlike prefabricated insulations, K13 has no voids or compressed areas to reduce thermal efficiency and adheres to virtually all surfaces.
Condensation Control
For areas such as indoor pools and ice arenas, K13 insulation aids in condensation control. The proper combination of acoustic barrier and ventilation prevents condensation on metal, concrete and other surfaces. It actually reduces ventilation requirements, saving in both the ventilation equipment investment and operating cost.
Acoustical Performance
The resilient fibers of K-13 absorb sound energy instead of reflecting it, reducing reverberation time and making speech and music more intelligible. Excessive noise is reduced with the application of K13 while greatly improving ambient sound quality in a wide variety of building projects including auditoriums, sports facilities, detention facilities, television and sound studios, convention centers and parking garages.
Ure-k Spray Coating
Ure-K is a spray applied, code approved thermal barrier to be applied over Polyurethane foam and also enhances noise control.
Thermal Insulation
Ure-K applied over polyurethane provides additional thermal resistance which will meet the stringent “R” values required for today’s energy conservation needs. The combination of Ure-K and polyurethane has the highest efficiency of all available insulations.
Noise Control
Ure-K is a monolithic coating which will provide a highly efficient sound absorption surface in either new or existing building. This is an important benefit in controlling noise levels to meet OSHA and other requirements.
SonaSpray “fc” Acoustical Finish
Sona Spray “FC” is used primarily for acoustical control where a smoother, more aesthetically pleasing surface is required. Sona Spray is applied at 3/8 to 1 inch thick. Available in White and Arctic White. SonaSpray “fc” provides an attractive, high performance solution to acoustical and lighting design objectives in both new construction and renovation projects. Typical installations include schools, churches, auditoriums, passenger terminals, libraries, detention facilities, cafeterias, offices, hotels and condominiums.
